Xinjiang Hoboksar National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

The planned area of the Hoboksar Mongol Autonomous County National Wetland Park in Xinjiang covers 291.03 square kilometers, of which the wetland area is 154.42 square kilometers, accounting for 53.1% of the total. The total investment is 135.4182 million yuan, with an 8-year construction period divided into three phases. The wetland park is planned to include a wetland function exhibition garden, a wetland education center, a wetland botanical garden, and more. It will also integrate ecological and cultural features to develop scenic areas showcasing the natural landscapes of rivers, marsh wetlands, and grasslands, as well as local folk culture experiences for leisure and tourism.

Hoboksar National Wetland Park is positioned as a near-natural river wetland park rich in regional characteristics in China’s northwestern plateau region—a paradise for wetland flora and fauna, a premium destination for ecotourism, and a vehicle for the harmonious development of the local economy. Throughout its planning, construction, and management, the park adheres to the philosophy of “protecting wetland ecology, showcasing wetland habitats, integrating local culture, connecting people with wetlands, and promoting harmony between humans and nature.” It is dedicated to the protection and restoration of wetlands, conducting wetland science education and outreach, displaying wetland flora and fauna and their habitats, inheriting the local culture of Hoboksar, and establishing itself as a representative wetland park in the Xinjiang region.

The wetland park under construction will feature facilities such as a wetland function exhibition garden, a wetland education center, a wetland botanical garden, small squares, eco-friendly parking lots, and souvenir shops. It will also integrate ecological and cultural features to develop scenic areas that showcase the natural landscapes of rivers, marsh wetlands, and grasslands, along with local folk culture experiences for leisure and tourism.
