The average elevation of the entire township is about 3,100 meters, with significant temperature variations, making it a typical high-cold mountainous area. The average summer temperature is around 20°C, making it an ideal destination for leisure, summer retreats, and vacations. The township currently has 1.2 million mu of natural, high-quality contiguous grasslands. In the mountainous area located in Aomuxia Village of Kashtash Township, about 22 kilometers from the township government, there are three hot springs. These are the only high-altitude hot springs in Hotan Prefecture, flowing year-round with water temperatures reaching up to 70°C. Rich in minerals, they not only help wash away the fatigue of the day but also offer significant health and therapeutic benefits.

The township currently has 1.2 million mu of natural, high-quality contiguous grasslands. In summer, the entire grassland resembles a vast natural green carpet, covered with colorful wildflowers. Upon arrival, you’re greeted by the unique fragrance of Kirghiz wormwood, wild onions, irises, and other unnamed wild blossoms. From the grasslands, you can also admire the majestic and spectacular snow-capped mountains. The air here is fresh and cool, and you can stay for a few days in a yurt, enjoy traditional ethnic music and dance performances, and watch horse racing and sheep-snatching shows. Sample local ethnic cuisine, whole roasted lamb, as well as specialities from Kashtash Township such as Cynomorium wine, snow chicken soup, wild mountain vegetables, and alpine cold-water fish. The towering, majestic snow mountains and the thrilling riverbanks at the source of the Jade River offer opportunities for adventurous souls to climb the lofty peaks, wade through river rapids, and explore jade mining tours.
