“Recommended by the “Let’s Play Osaka” fan page, Kishiwada is just about a 30-minute ride from Namba Station and still retains a Japanese castle. The origin of the Kishiwada Danjiri Festival lies in locals pulling the floats into the castle to perform for the lord. Around 35 floats, each weighing four tons, are pulled manually through various parts of Kishiwada. With traditional musical accompaniment and the intense expressions of the locals, it’s an exhilarating sight.Recommended by our fan community, Kuwana is just about 30 minutes from Namba Station and still boasts well-preserved Japanese castles. The origin of the "Kishiwada Danjiri Festival" dates back to when locals would pull danjiri (festival floats) into the castle grounds to perform for the lord. Today, around 35 danjiri, each weighing up to 4 tons, are manually pulled through various parts of Kishiwada. With traditional musical accompaniment and the intense expressions of the local pullers, the experience is truly exhilarating.
