A hot spring and gourmet paradise in the forest:: Rokkaku Hotel:: Lake Towada

Rokkaku Hotel is a well-known sightseeing hotel in Akita and is one of the larger establishments, capable of accommodating around 450 people. As such, it has become a landmark hotel for tour groups, and some travel agencies in Taiwan also include it in their itineraries. Being the hot spring hotel closest to Lake Towada National Park, it has a simple exterior but boasts an elegant Japanese garden and ponds inside. Its high-ceilinged lobby exudes a stately and dignified atmosphere, and all facilities are spacious and comfortable, with considerate service. The guest rooms are traditional tatami-style Japanese rooms, and in addition to the yukata provided in each room, a variety of yukata in different patterns are also available for rent in the first-floor lobby.

The hotel’s hot spring facilities include large public baths, open-air baths, and a sauna. The waters are said to have therapeutic effects for skin conditions, women’s health issues, and rheumatic neuralgia. There is also an open-air bath area that offers a unique experience when it snows in winter. In addition, the hotel provides wedding banquet services, and various floors feature large spaces for banquets and conferences. The ingredients used change with the seasons, and guests can choose from a variety of traditional Japanese kaiseki course meals.
