Sanhuanggu Forest Park

Sanhuanggu Forest Park is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Located 10 kilometers southeast of Shanmen Town, Sanhuanggu Forest Park was designated as a provincial-level forest park in 2003. It is under the administration of the Shanmen Forest Farm of the Xiaolongshan Forestry Experimental Bureau and lies at the junction of the Qinling and Guanshan mountain ranges, where the Niutou River originates. The park is 40 kilometers from Qingshui County and 90 kilometers from Tianshui City, with an altitude ranging from 1,600 to 2,100 meters. It has an average annual temperature of 8°C, a relative humidity of 70%, and a forest coverage rate of 76.1%. As a typical warm temperate mountainous semi-humid climate zone, it is known as the "Hundred-Mile Forest Sea, Natural Classroom, and Forest Bathing Ground."

Covering an area of 3,665 hectares, the park integrates forests, water bodies, wildlife, and spectacular peaks and canyons. Major attractions include the Emperor’s Relics, Ancient Town Ruins, Guanyin Peak, Deer Calling Mountain, and Flame Mountain. The park features vast forests, emerald-green mountains, lush grasslands, blooming wildflowers, murmuring streams, and the sounds of deer, along with rare birds and animals. It is Tianshui City’s only grassland-themed tourist area centered around subalpine meadows. The park also offers facilities such as antique-style villas, Mongolian yurts, and multi-functional dining halls, as well as activities like horseback riding, hunting, archery, picnicking, and hiking expeditions. Local specialties such as grilled fish, roasted lamb, wild vegetables, and homemade noodles are available. It has gradually developed into a well-established natural paradise integrating dining, accommodation, transportation, entertainment, adventure tourism, and summer retreats.
