Traffic guide for National Day fireworks in Taichung to avoid congestion!

This year’s National Day fireworks have moved to Taichung. On the evening of the 10th, a 40-minute fireworks show will be held at Taichung Harbor, followed by a 20-minute display the next night (11th). With the three-day long weekend, an estimated 500,000 people are expected to gather at the Taichung Harbor stage area to watch the fireworks.The Taichung City Government will implement traffic control and guidance measures starting at 2 PM on both the 10th and 11th. Spectators are advised to arrive early.Make good use of public transportation such as Taiwan Railways, BRT, or the free Jingeuyi Line, Wujhi Line, and Qingshui Line shuttle buses to avoid traffic congestion and ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience.

Taichung City Government provides the following transportation measures:50 additional BRT buses will be deployed for shuttling, along with shuttle bus services. Six extra train trips will be added, and there are approximately 11,000 parking spaces around the venue.

[Public Transportation]
● High-Speed Rail
From Taichung HSR Station, transfer to TRA at Xinwuri Station → Qingshui Station → take the Qingshui Line shuttle bus → 103 National Day Fireworks Venue
 
● Taiwan Railways
From Qingshui Station → take the Qingshui Line shuttle bus → 103 National Day Fireworks Venue   
※ TRA will add six special trips on October 10–11 for the National Day fireworks
1. Taichung = Qingshui = Dajia (Train No. 2638)
2. Dajia = Qingshui = Taichung (Train No. 2677)     
3. Qingshui = Taichung (Train No. 2685)
4. Shalu = Hsinchu (Train No. 2576)
5. Qingshui = Douliu (Train No. 2583)       
6. Qingshui = Fengyuan (Train No. 2681)
(Actual departure times and train numbers are subject to announcements by Taiwan Railways Administration.)
 
● Road Transport
BRT System → A23 Jingeuyi University Station → take the Qingshui Line shuttle bus → 103 National Day Fireworks Venue
 
●BRT
On the day, Taichung City Government will deploy 50 additional BRT vehicles for shuttling from 2 PM to midnight, with each bus carrying about 100 passengers and running every 2 minutes.

[Shuttle Buses]
※ Shuttle hours: October 10–11
Outbound: 4 PM – 7 PM
Return: 8 PM – until all passengers are transported
 
※ Shuttle locations:
1. Jingyi Line: Jingyi University (BRT terminal) <-> Stage area (60 shuttle buses)
