Typhoon Meranti, a super typhoon, and Typhoon Malakas, a strong typhoon, hit Taiwan in succession, bringing heavy rainfall across the island and causing severe water accumulation in the low-lying areas of Yilan’s Qingshui Geothermal Park, turning the park into a pond. To restore the park’s appearance, Qingshui Geothermal Park has announced it will be closed for one day on the 19th.
In order to carry out backfilling work in the low-lying areas, and considering that the access roads to Qingshui Geothermal Park are relatively narrow, the park has decided to close for one day to ensure smooth restoration operations.
