Taishanmiao Yuan Site

The Taishanmiao Yuan Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Qingshui County.

The Taishanmiao Yuan Site is located on Taishanmiao Yuan in Dongguan Village, Yongqing Town, Qingshui County. It dates back to the Qijia Culture and is classified as an ancient site.

It was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit of Qingshui County on December 31, 1982.

Protected area: with the central point as the base, east: bounded by the cliff; west: bounded by the cliff; south: bounded by Dayagou; north: bounded by Tongwen Highway.

Construction control zone: extending 20 meters outward from the perimeter boundaries (east, south, west, and north) of the protected area.

Dongguan Village: Located to the east of picturesque Yongqing, Dongguan Village covers an area of approximately 50 acres, with a population of about 310 people and around 60 households. Most villagers make a living through farming. Originally called Dongmenwai or Xiaodongguan—“Xiaodongguan” meaning “small east gate”—the name reflects the village’s small population. According to elders, Yongqing originally had four city gates: the East Gate, West Gate, South Gate, and North Gate. Dongguan was situated outside the East Gate, hence its name. After the liberation, it was renamed Dongguan Village.
