The Wei Family Gorge Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Qingshui County.

The Wei Family Gorge Site is located on the terrace west of Wei Family Gorge Village, Hongbao Town, Qingshui County. Dating back to the Neolithic Age, it is classified as an ancient site.

It was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit of Qingshui County on March 30, 2010.

Protected area: with the center point as the base, east: bounded by the cliff; west: bounded by the gentle slope mountainous area on the west side up to the mountain peak; south: bounded by a small ditch; north: bounded by the cliff on the north side.

Construction control zone: extending 30 meters outward from the perimeter boundaries (east, south, west, and north) of the protected area.

Hongbao Town: Natural Environment: Located in the western part of Qingshui County, Hongbao Town covers a total land area of 81,800 mu, with a total cultivated land area of 33,700 mu. The average elevation is 1,334 meters, the annual average rainfall is 550 millimeters, the annual average temperature is 9°C, and the frost-free period lasts 180 days per year.
