The Yuwangliang Site

The Yuwangliang Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Yuanping City.

The Yuwangliang Site is located on the Yuwangliang hill, about 500 meters west of Xihui Village, Dalin Township, Yuanping City. It stretches approximately 1,700 meters from east to west and around 300 meters from north to south, covering a total area of about 500,000 square meters. The cultural layer is 0.3 to 3 meters thick. Artifacts collected from the surface include sand-tempered and clay pottery shards, as well as stone balls, with decorative patterns such as rope impressions and basket weave. It is a remnant of the Longshan Culture. In 1985, it was designated as a county (city)-level cultural heritage site by the People's Government of Yuanping County. Xihui Village: Located in the northwest of Dalin Township, Yuanping City, about 15 kilometers from downtown Yuanping. It borders Yangwu River to the south, faces Matou Cliff to the north, connects to Yangwu Second Village to the west, and extends to Shangshen Village to the east. Historically, it was one of the "Eighteen Water Villages." The village has a total of 260 households, 670 residents, 23 Party members, and 16 village representatives. It covers an area of 8,930 mu, including 1,295 mu of arable land—850 mu of irrigated land and 445 mu of sloping fields.
