Wangjiaying Watermill
Wangjiaying Watermill is a cultural relic protection unit of Yuanping City.
Wangjiaying Watermill is situated on the water diversion channel of the Yongxing River in the east of Wangjiaying Village, Lupanzhai Township, Yuanping City. Facing south with its back to the north, it spans 8.4 meters from east to west and 5.6 meters from north to south, covering an area of about 47 square meters. The exact date of its construction is unclear, but the current structure reflects the architectural style of the Republican period. It has a three-bay frontage, a depth of six rafters, and a single-eave flush-gable roof. Inside, there is a single set of watermill machinery. The lower section of the watermill contains a transmission system that transforms vertical rotation into horizontal movement to power the grinding of grain. This mechanism represents an advanced flour production facility of its time and possesses significant historical research value.
Lupanzhai Township: "Lupanzhai Township is located in the southwestern part of Yuanping City. To its north lies Jiecun Township; to its south is Yanzhuang Town; to its west is Changlianggou Town; and to its east is Wangjiazhuang Township. The township has a total population of 7,704, the lowest in the city, with 2,588 households and 1,051 hectares of arable land, most of which is dry farmland. Traditional crops include corn and small grains, and livestock farming mainly focuses on draft animals. For many years, the riveting and welding processing industry, primarily involving atmospheric pressure boilers, has developed rapidly, with products exported to various provinces and cities in North China."
In terms of transportation, the township is connected to the outside world via a city-county road, but transport in the mountainous areas remains inconvenient. ... Lupanzhai Township detailed information++
