Fulu Square

Fulu Square, also known as Gao Xuejun Square. On the right side of the square, in front of the Gao Xuejun Ancestral Hall, there is a screen wall inscribed with the words “Prosperity Shines Upon the People.” For the common folk, it might as well read “Prosperity Shines Upon the Gao Family!” Without the Gao family’s great wisdom in consistently supporting the central authority and dedicating themselves to virtuous governance, how could the people of Yaozhou have enjoyed over 770 years free from war and turmoil, living in peace and prosperity? The screen wall in front is 20.8 meters long and 8.2 meters high, and beneath the fireproof walls at the front and back of the screen wall, there are more than 10 diamond-shaped patterns of various forms. The fireproof wall section of the screen wall is constructed with flying bricks and tile bricks, with the top covered in green tiles and featuring a central ridge, with watersheds on the eastern and western sides.
