The Crossing the Lancang River Battle Memorial is located at the Menghan Ferry in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province.
In February 1950, the field army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, supported by the "Border Column" forces, guerrilla teams, labor service corps, and people of all ethnic groups, decisively defeated the last remaining Kuomintang reactionary troops in Xishuangbanna in the battle of Turtle Mountain in Nanzhao (Mengzhe), declaring the complete liberation of the entire Xishuangbanna region.
