Useful Tips for Visiting Wanshuyu:
[Transportation]
★ Scenic Area Shuttle Bus
Departs from Jinghong South Bus Station at 8:30 am and returns from the scenic area to Jinghong around 3:00 pm.
★ Direct Bus Service
Buses depart at 9:50 am and 4:30 pm from Banna Bus Station (Fan轮胎 Factory) to Mengban. Get off at Wanshuyu Scenic Area.
★ From Jinghong City → Mengla County → Wanshuyu
From Jinghong to Mengla County, various bus stations operate services daily from 7:00–18:00, every 15 minutes. Mengla County Bus Station departs for Yaoqu and Mengban from 8:00–17:40, hourly. Get off at Wanshuyu.
Self-driving Route:
★ Starting from Kunming
Take the Kunming-Mohan Expressway and Xiaomao Highway to reach Mengla County. Then drive northeast out of Mengla County toward Mengban and Yaoqu. After about 14 km, you will arrive at Wanshuyu Scenic Area.
★ Starting from Jinghong City
After crossing the Xishuangbanna Bridge, continue straight along the Kunming-Bangkok Highway to Mengla County. Then drive northeast out of Mengla County toward Mengban and Yaoqu. After about 14 km, you will arrive at Wanshuyu Scenic Area.
[Accommodation & Dining]
Dining: Wanshuyu Scenic Area’s Weimeiya Rainforest Restaurant offers wild vegetables, farm-raised chicken, and Nanla River ecological fish and shrimp. Along the road from Mengla to Wanshuyu and near the scenic area, there are farmhouse restaurants and Dai cuisine spots where you can dine.
Accommodation: Lianya Xiaoshe in Wanshuyu Scenic Area provides clean, well-equipped rooms at reasonable prices. Alternatively, you can stay in Mengla County, which has several business hotels to choose from.
[Other Information]
★ Clothing: Bring one or two short-sleeve shirts and long-sleeve jackets (Xishuangbanna’s weather changes frequently; temperatures vary greatly between morning and evening in winter, so pack sweaters and short-sleeve shirts).
★ Medications: Band-Aids, essential balm (mosquitoes are abundant in Xishuangbanna), motion sickness pills, anti-diarrhea medication.
