Tongren Ethnic Culture Park is located on the banks of the Jinjiang River in the northern suburbs of Tongren City. In March 2009, with an investment of 30 million yuan, it covers an area of 24,193 square meters, including a grandstand area of 16,606 square meters that can accommodate over 24,000 spectators, and a stage that allows 3,000 performers to appear simultaneously. On April 28 and 30, 2009, the cultural square of Tongren Ethnic Culture Park served as the main venue for the Guizhou Fanjingshan Cultural Tourism Festival. The large-scale variety show “Happy China Tour • Enchanting Fanjingshan” by China Central Television and the spectacular musical performance “Charming Fanjingshan • Utopian Tongren” by Guizhou TV were held here. Numerous stars, including Han Lei and Mao Amin, performed on stage, turning the cultural square into a sea of joy. Through television, this stage showcased the magical Fanjingshan, the rich ethnic culture, and the enthusiasm and dreams of the people of Tongren to audiences across the country.
