Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to show your love!
From now until mid-September, the “Crescent Bridge Dahan River Night Midsummer Music Concert” series will be held. The Crescent Bridge will be transformed into a “Magpie Bridge.” Aside from hosting street performers and bands every Saturday and Sunday evening at 7 PM, the event also incorporates the temple culture of Xinzhuang Temple Street, allowing visitors to experience the festive atmosphere of traditional customs. By donating one 2024 July or August receipt for charity, you can receive one portion each of sesame oil chicken and fried rice. Limited to 800 portions, while supplies last.

The entrance to the 435 Art and Cultural District at the Banqiao end of the Crescent Bridge features European neoclassical architecture resembling the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, with its tall, symmetrical columns. Set against white sand and a fountain, it’s a must-photograph spot for a beautifully romantic scene.

On the other side, Xinzhuang Old Street boasts a history of 300 years and can be considered a microcosm of Taiwan’s development. Don’t worry if you get tired from walking—there are also many century-old traditional shops on the old street, offering delicious treats you won’t tire of.
