Jiulongdong National Scenic Area

Jiulongdong National Scenic Area is a national scenic area and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Jiulongdong National Scenic Area currently includes the Jiulongdong Scenic Area, the Jinjiang Scenic Area, and the Liulongshan Scenic Area. Jiulongdong Scenic Area: It is one of the first ten scenic spots designated in Guizhou Province and also the first cave to be developed among the many karst caves in Tongren City. In 1981, it was listed as a county-level scenic reserve, in 1987 as one of the first ten scenic spots in Guizhou Province, and included in the "China Scenic Spots Dictionary." On January 13, 2004, it was designated by the State Council as a national key scenic area. The Jiulongdong Scenic Area consists of Guanyin Mountain, Lianhua Temple, and the Jiulongdong site. It is located 17 kilometers east of Tongren City, backed by the towering and vast Liulongshan Mountain, and faces the surging waters of the Jinjiang River. It lies to the right of Malongxi and on the mountainside of Guanyin Mountain. The area features rugged cliffs, majestic and precipitous landscapes, and lush green bamboo covering the hillsides. The typical karst landform has created magnificent and spectacular karst cave wonders. Visitors can explore the magical Dragon Cave, climb the perilous peaks of Guanyin Mountain, worship the Guanyin of the Lotus Pond, and marvel at the wonders of nature—these are the joys of visiting the Jiulongdong Scenic Area.

Yangtou Town: Yangtou Town is located in the eastern part of Tongren City. The town government is 30 kilometers from downtown Tongren. It borders Guogongping Township of Hunan Province to the east, Wawu Township of the city to the south, Huanbei Subdistrict to the west, and Yunchangping Town to the north. Situated in the middle section of the Wuling Mountain Range, the terrain is quite undulating, characterized by mid-to-low mountain valley and hilly erosional landforms. It lies in the lower reaches of the Jinjiang River. The highest elevation in the town is 970 meters, and the lowest is 205 meters. The annual average temperature is 17°C, the annual average sunshine duration is 1,127.5 hours, the annual rainfall is 1,317 millimeters, and the frost-free period lasts 280 days throughout the year.
