Guizhou Bijiang National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Guizhou Bijiang National Wetland Park is situated on the southeastern edge of Fanjing Mountain, the main peak of the Wuling Mountain Range, within Bijiang District — known as the “Gateway to Eastern Guizhou.” It includes the Houdonghe Reservoir and the downstream section of Xiaojiang-Houdonghe River up to the Qingshuitang Hydropower Station, along with a certain surrounding buffer zone, stretching in a strip-like pattern from northeast to southwest. The geographical coordinates are: 109°9′14″–109°14′25″ E, 27°45′48″–27°51′47″ N. The total area of the wetland park is 416.75 hectares.

The wetland park centers around an artificial lake and a naturally water-rich river, and is characterized by a composite wetland ecosystem composed of permanent rivers, floodplain wetlands, reservoirs, ponds, and forests, showcasing strong representativeness and typicality.

Guizhou Bijiang National Wetland Park (Pilot) is primarily a reservoir-type artificial wetland, while also incorporating river wetlands. The main rivers flowing into the planned area include the Houdonghe River and the Xiaojiang River, which then flow into the Jinjiang River. The park is themed around the biodiversity of the Houdonghe Valley wetland ecosystem, and highlights features such as canyon cliffs, karst river valley plant landscapes, the reservoir dam, and the rich, authentic ethnic culture of the surrounding area. It serves as a multifunctional wetland park integrating wetland conservation, flood regulation and storage, power generation and irrigation, wetland ecological function demonstration, eco-tourism, scientific research and education, leisure vacation, and cultural entertainment.
