Tongren Tianqiao Scenic Area

Tianqiao Bridge is located about 12 kilometers north of Tongren City, to the west of Chuantong Town. It stands approximately 110 meters high, 150 meters wide, and 70 meters long, presenting a majestic and spectacular sight. Resembling a giant beam spanning both riverbanks, it was historically referred to as the "Daliang River" (Big Beam River). The immense bridge arch forms an inverted V-shape, standing over 50 meters high and spanning more than 30 meters wide. Over its 52-kilometer journey through mountains and valleys, the Tianqiao River experiences a natural elevation drop of 255 meters. This significant drop results in rapid, turbulent waters throughout the stretch, often dotted with perilous rapids and scattered boulders.
