Dingdong Dong Village is famous for its bullfighting. The Miao people are fond of bullfighting, and the bullfights in Dingdong maintain an authentic, ancient charm.

Known locally as “cattle fighting,” these events are organized spontaneously by villagers. Whenever a bullfight takes place, the arena is packed with crowds, adorned with colorful flags, and filled with the sounds of drums and gongs — an incredibly spectacular scene.

In addition, every fourth and ninth day of the lunar month is market day in Dingdong. People dress in bright clothing, with costumes that differ from other Miao styles, especially the women’s earrings, which are particularly eye-catching.
