Qinfeng Terraces

Qinfeng Terraces are located in Qinfeng Village, Cuili Township, Congjiang County. Covering thousands of acres, the terraces are built along the mountainside starting at an altitude of over 600 meters, winding around the hills all the way up to the mountainside at over 800 meters. With their graceful lines, staggered layout, majestic presence, and spectacular beauty, they are a remarkable sight. In early summer, when the terraces are filled with water, the setting sun, evening glow, and sky are all reflected in the terraces, creating a colorful, jade-like ribbon that winds through the landscape. This scene, together with the richly distinctive Miao stilted wooden houses, forms an enchanting springtime painting.

Cuili Township: Located in the southeastern part of Congjiang County. It covers an area of 165 square kilometers with a population of 11,300, among which ethnic groups such as Yao, Zhuang, Miao, and Dong make up 93.8%. The township governs 21 village committees. In 1932, Gao Wu, Gao Wen, and Gao Zhong townships were established and belonged to Yongcong County. In 1941, they were incorporated into Congjiang County and formed Cuilan Township. In 1953, Gao Mang Yao Ethnic Township and Gao Wu Township were separated out. In 1958, the townships were abolished and merged into Xishan Commune. In 1961, two communes were split off again.
