The Majiang Blueberry Eco-Tourism Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Wukaping Organic Blueberry Eco-Circular Industrial Park and the Wuyangma Eco-Agricultural Sightseeing & Experience Park are key projects within the area. Centered around the "Majiang Blueberry" industrial brand, these projects aim to create a distinctive rural tourism resort, forming a leisure vacation tourism route that connects Kaili, Xiashi, and Danzhai, featuring leisure, outdoor sports, and fruit-picking experiences. The completion of these projects will realize the goal of "building a nest to attract phoenixes" in the park’s development. Blueberries will become the symbol of health and romance here, earning their rightful title as the "queen of fruits."

Blueberry cultivation in Majiang began in 1999. Currently, nearly 50,000 mu of blueberries are planted in the county, making it one of China’s major blueberry production areas. To ensure fruit quality, Majiang blueberries are grown using only organic fertilizers—no chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used. As a result, the blueberries produced are both safe and environmentally friendly. At present, the Majiang blueberry planting bases have been recognized as a "Seventh Batch National Agricultural Standardization Demonstration Zone," a "National Export Food & Agricultural Products Quality & Safety Demonstration Zone," and a "National Organic Product Certification Demonstration Creation Zone." The area certified for organic blueberry cultivation spans 12,451 mu, with three enterprises having obtained organic product certification certificates, nineteen enterprises and cooperatives holding organic conversion product certification certificates, and four enterprise bases registered as export fruit orchards.

Majiang County is located in central Guizhou, along the upper reaches of the Qingshui River, serving as the western gateway to the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture. The core area of this project is situated along the Qingshui River line from Xiashi to Longshan to Xuanwei in eastern Majiang. The county enjoys convenient transportation, with an interconnected network of highways including the Gui-Xin and Kaili-Majiang expressways, the Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway, as well as National Highways 210 and 320, and various provincial roads. It lies 108 km west of Guiyang, the provincial capital, and Longdongbao Airport, 38 km east of Kaili, the prefectural capital of Qiandongnan, 24 km south of Duyun, and 17 km north of Fuquan, home to Asia’s largest phosphate fertilizer base. It serves as a hub and convergence area connecting Guiyang, Fuquan, Duyun, and Kaili. With the completion of expressways such as the Xiamen-Chengdu and Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railways, Majiang’s transportation advantages have become even more prominent. It is set to become a backyard retreat and leisure destination for major cities within the 8-hour economic circle of Guangzhou, Shanghai, and the broader Pearl River Delta economic zone, as well as a tourism hub for experiencing the "return to simplicity and nature" of Qiandongnan’s original ecological ethnic culture. The county’s organic eco-blueberry plantations are primarily concentrated in Xiashi, Longshan, and Xuanwei towns, gathered in the middle and upper reaches of the Qingshui River in eastern Majiang. The area is traversed by roads such as the Sichen Highway and Xuandu Highway, with the Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway running through it. Boasting convenient transport, a pleasant climate, and rich tourism resources, it is the most concentrated and largest blueberry planting base in Majiang’s characteristic agricultural sector. Currently, the region has over 30,000 mu of blueberry plantations, with a planned area of 80,000 mu. Leveraging its unique attributes for health & fitness, leisure wellness, eco-agricultural experiences, and premium organic blueberry tasting, it is poised to become China’s most charming blueberry eco-experience leisure resort tourism area. The development of premium tourism routes and cultural tourism products is also underway.
