Wulijiang Nature Reserve

Wulijiang Nature Reserve is located 2.5 kilometers southeast of the county town and is state-owned land. It serves as the drinking water source for the urban area of the county. The condition of the surrounding vegetation directly affects the water quality of the reservoir and thus the drinking water supply for the entire urban population. The reservoir area and its watershed are mainly covered with Chinese fir and pine forests, followed by shrubland. The total area is 51,000 mu, including 375 mu of water surface. There are 2 residential settlements.

The main animal groups include birds, mammals, fish, and snakes. Common species are egrets, thrushes, bamboo rats, snakes, and wildcats. The plant community is dominated by Chinese fir and Masson’s pine, followed by Fagaceae plants.

The reserve type is a water conservation nature reserve.
