Sanlong Nature Reserve

The Sanlong Reserve is under the jurisdiction of Yongcong Township and borders Yandong Township. Its geographical coordinates are 26°5′15″N, 109°4′12″E, and the land is collectively owned. The local vegetation has been somewhat degraded, but due to the high altitude and poor transportation, some pristine forests still survive. The area boasts a rich diversity of species and rare plants. It covers a total area of 11,505 mu, including 8,340 mu of forested land and 3,165 mu of sparse forest.

The plant community is dominated by species from the Magnoliaceae, Theaceae, and Fagaceae families, with rare tree species including beech, manglietia fordiana, parakmeria lotungensis, michelia chapensis, cephalotaxus fortunei, and manglietia insignis. The area is inhabited by various mammals, birds, snakes, and amphibians, and is classified as a biodiversity nature reserve.
