Zhongchao Confucius Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Zhongchao Confucius Temple is located within the campus of Zhongchao Village Primary School in Zhongchao Town, Liping County, at an elevation of 463.2 meters. Situated in a mountainous area, it is surrounded by towering ancient trees (including relatively precious species such as white bridge trees and camphor trees). To the east, it faces Donghua Mountain and Donghua Mountain Temple in the distance, while to the west lies an activity area paved with bluestone slabs, covering an area of 134.34 square meters. It lies within a subtropical monsoon humid climate zone.

Zhongchao Confucius Temple was first built in the winter of the first year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1875), facing northeast and situated southwest, and has a history of 133 years to date. Also known as the Temple of Confucius, it was funded and constructed by local gentry at the time, primarily serving as an educational facility. The temple was built atop Wen'genao Mountain in Zhongchao Village (now within the campus of Zhongchao Primary School), covering an area of 228.23 square meters. This location is the highest point in Zhongchao Village, offering a broad view, and is historically regarded as a feng shui treasure spot of the village. It corresponds visually with the nearby Wenbi Pagoda of Donghua Mountain Temple. A statue of Confucius was once enshrined here, but it was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Currently, only three main rooms and one lean-to remain. Some brick joints in the walls have cracked, parts of the roof tiles have come off, a small portion of the eaves are damaged, and remnants of painted colors can still be seen. The stone pedestals retain well-preserved carvings, and the construction period remains clearly identifiable. Since its establishment, it has served as a site for private schools, primary schools, and middle and high schools, and now stands as a scenic feature within the Zhongchao Primary School campus, also functioning as a classroom.

The architecture of Zhongchao Confucius Temple exhibits typical Qing Dynasty style, featuring exquisite craftsmanship and high historical and artistic value.
