Liping Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination.

Liping Martyrs' Cemetery was first built in 1987 and is located on the mountainside of Nanquan Mountain in Chengguan, covering a total area of 200 mu. It was constructed by the people of Liping to forever commemorate the 120 revolutionary martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives during the Long March of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army passing through Liping and the suppression of bandits by the People's Liberation Army. The cemetery is built along the mountain slope and features 525 stone steps, each 2 meters wide. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with lush green lawns, blooming flowers, and evergreen pines and cypresses.

Since its establishment, the cemetery has fully leveraged its influence and impact, adhering to the principles of "honoring the martyrs and educating the public." It has developed into a multifunctional socialist spiritual civilization site that integrates publicity, education, and sightseeing. In November 1987, Liping Martyrs' Cemetery was listed as one of the first batch of key martyrs' memorial building protection units in Guizhou Province, serving as an important base for spiritual civilization education in the province.

With the care and support of the provincial and prefectural governments, Liping Martyrs' Cemetery has achieved significant development. In March 2009, it was designated as a "National Key Martyrs' Memorial Building Protection Unit" by the State Council. A total investment of 5.2 million yuan was made to comprehensively renovate the memorial facilities, giving the cemetery a completely renewed appearance. Eighty-nine large stone steles were erected to form a forest of steles, the square was expanded by 3,800 square meters, and the memorial archway was reconstructed with six pillars and five gates, clad in high-quality marble. A Long March poetry wall and relief sculptures were added, and the memorial monument underwent comprehensive maintenance, appearing even more solemn and majestic. The memorial hall features a dignified and elegant architectural style, with simple yet refined designs. Its exhibits are detailed, vivid, and authentic. Pathways are equipped with streetlights and surveillance equipment throughout, and the cemetery environment continues to be enhanced through greening and beautification efforts. Liping Martyrs' Cemetery receives over 200,000 visitors annually, including people from all walks of life who come to pay their respects and visit. It fully serves its role as a base for socialist spiritual civilization education and has become an important site for the public to honor martyrs and carry out revolutionary tradition education.

In November 2012, it was named as one of the first batch of red culture education bases by the Prefectural Party Committee.
