The Five-Pillar Peak Scenic Area (also known as Foguangyan Scenic Area) is located 44 kilometers from Chishui City and 30 kilometers from Bing'an Ancient Town. It is a key component of the Chishui National Scenic Area. Bordered on three sides by the Chishui Alsophila National Nature Reserve, most of its peaks rise over 1,200 meters, forming spectacular and diverse Danxia cliff landscapes. Within the 20-square-kilometer area of Five-Pillar Peak, Danxia landforms, waterfalls, and evergreen broad-leaved forests are concentrated. This enclosed natural ecological environment features elevations ranging from just over 300 meters to 1,300 meters, creating a landscape of crisscrossing valleys, dense forests, majestic waterfalls, and awe-inspiring Danxia formations. With few human traces, it preserves a complete tropical biological ecosystem and meets the prerequisite conditions for high-quality tourism development, offering visitors high-grade, premium natural scenic attractions. The scenic area boasts an ancient and pristine environment, diverse plant communities, a complete ecosystem, and stunning landscapes. Characterized mainly by Danxia landforms, it is renowned as the “Crown of World Danxia” and the “World’s Premier Danxia Garden.”
