The Xianggoulin River Valley is located on the north bank, about 1 kilometer upstream from the Jiangjiehe Bridge. It is a small tributary of the Wu River and is often referred to as the "Little Ning River" of the Wu. Stretching approximately 5 kilometers, the valley winds along with deep and secluded waterways. The surrounding mountain landscapes are strikingly dramatic—ranging from emerald peaks and steep cliffs to towering precipices, layered crags, sheer rock faces, and oddly shaped boulders. A crystal-clear stream meanders through the valley, babbling softly, with gentle ripples and sparkling reflections on the water’s surface. The entire valley boasts well-preserved natural ecology, where ancient trees grow wildly, dense foliage thrives, old vines twist and tangle, and moss carpets the ground in layers of green, creating a lush, vibrant atmosphere. This contributes to the valley's rich green hues and serene, profound ambiance. In stark contrast to the adjacent Jiangjiehe Grand Canyon, Xianggoulin offers a landscape that is both majestic and delicate, spectacular yet natural, rustic yet fresh, grand yet tranquil.
