The Sla River Scenic Area features rich karst landforms, steep cliffs, deep valleys, fruit orchards everywhere, clusters of waterfalls, crystal-clear river water, and picturesque landscapes that are endlessly charming.

The Sla River is 32.9 kilometers long, and beautiful natural scenery runs throughout the scenic area. With the completion of the Yinzidu Hydropower Station, a vast lake has emerged from the high gorges, forming a plateau lake with a water surface area of 17.9 square kilometers. It combines the features of a plateau lake and canyon scenery, characterized by uniqueness, novelty, wonder, and danger. Cruising on the reservoir allows you to be surrounded by rolling blue waves and refreshing breezes, instantly making you feel refreshed and invigorated. In the canyon area, you can admire the winding paths and towering peaks, listen to the calls of monkeys in the mountains, explore the multi-soldier caves to see hanging stalactites, and hear the dripping sounds, as if entering a fairyland on earth...

The completion of the Yinzidu Hydropower Station has given the Sla River Scenic Area an otherworldly beauty. The clear lake water covering the reservoir has breathed new life into the rugged and jagged cliffs on both sides. The moistening and caressing of the lake water, along with the relentless crashing and scouring of the blue waves over the years, have smoothed the cliffs and endowed them with serene and graceful appearances. They silently yet vividly reveal their enchanting charm and whisper countless stories to you.

Pause for a moment in front of the towering cliff murals, and first you’ll see the “Qu Yuan Murmuring Poetry” mural. Qu Yuan, holding what appears to be the Book of Songs, seems to be sitting or walking, his hunched figure a reflection of a life filled with hardships. Deep in thought, his heart burdened with the ruined landscapes of the Chu Kingdom, the patriotic poet’s indignant and people-loving expression is vividly portrayed, evoking both admiration and sorrow.
