Wan Hua Chan Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Wan Hua Chan Temple is located on Gaofeng Mountain in Pingba County, Guizhou Province. Gaofeng Mountain is a renowned scenic destination in the southwest, featuring towering peaks and peculiarly shaped rocks. The central peak stands about 1,000 meters high. Ascending from the north to the mountainside and entering a small mountain pass, you will find a five-acre basin at the center where Wan Hua Chan Temple is situated. The temple is surrounded by clustered peaks, with three peaks rising from the left ridge — Mianbi Peak, Yuyi Peak, and Pagoda Peak — and three from the right — Fushou Peak, Tianmen Peak, and Lotus Peak. The area boasts overlapping verdant ridges and ancient trees that reach to the sky, forming an exceptionally beautiful landscape. Among them are the so-called “Eight Scenic Spots of Gaofeng,” including “Solitary Seal at the Pass,” “Crows Paying Morning Tribute,” “Mist and Rosy Clouds Over the Plain,” “Peculiar Rocks and Coiling Dragons,” “Jade Screen Along the Path,” “Arhats Ringing the Bell,” “Southern Heavenly Gate,” and “Golden Full Dipper.” There is also a stone carving relic from the early Ming Dynasty, marking the spot where Emperor Jianwen came from the west to "meditate facing the wall." After visiting, the Ming Dynasty traveler Xu Xiake praised the place as “uniquely blessed by nature” in his travelogue.
