Shuangru Peak Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The world’s wonder “Shuangru Peak” is located within Zhenfeng County, Guizhou Province. The two towering stone peaks resemble a woman’s full breasts — so lifelike that they make women blush and men’s hearts race. Known locally by the Buyi ethnic group as the “Sacred Mother Peak,” it is hailed by the world as the “No. 1 Wonder Peak” of Shuangru Peak.

A scholar once said: “Although Huangguoshu is majestic, it is not unique in the world. Shuangru Peak, however, is not only the first in the world but also unique in the world. Shuangru Peak will surely become a world-famous attraction, just like Huangguoshu.”?

Shuangru Peak, also known as Guzi Peak or Binglian Peak, is the highest peak of the Eighth Bend. Beneath Shuangru Peak lies the ruins of the Shigu Taoist Temple, established by Wang Zi Qin. Among the rocky crevices halfway up the cliff, remnants of “Rainbow Bridge Planks” can be found. On both sides of the peak, there is a cave that can accommodate dozens of people, said to be the dwelling place of Daoist Wu. To the right of the cave, 0 li away, are preserved remains related to the daoist, hence the cave is named “Wu Gong Cave.”

Shuangru Peak combines the elegance of jade lotus, the beauty of full breasts, the spirituality of sacred drums, and the wonder of ancient caves. It is a hidden gem within the Wuyishan scenic area.

Su Dongpo, a literary figure of the Song Dynasty, wrote: “Viewed horizontally, a range; seen vertically, a peak; far or near, high or low, each view is different.” The same applies when viewing the “Sacred Mother Peak.” From the Peak Viewing Pavilion, it resembles the breasts of a 20-year-old; walking one li along the road, it looks like the breasts of a 40-year-old; another li further, it appears as the breasts of a 60-year-old. It is understood that such harmonious and lifelike breast-shaped peaks are absolutely unique in China and have no similar counterparts elsewhere in the world. Hence, it is called a “world wonder.”
