Ancient City of Annan

The Ancient City of Annan is one of the representative modern reconstructions of ancient cities in southwestern Guizhou and even across the whole province. Located in Liancheng Town, Qinglong County, Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, it was rebuilt on the historical foundation of the original ancient city of Qinglong. It served as the main filming location for the TV series "Twenty-Four Turns" and is named after the ancient name “Annan” for Qinglong.

The restoration and reconstruction of Qinglong’s “Ancient City of Annan” is not a replication, but rather a revival of the historical appearance of the ancient city. Walking through the restored “Ancient City of Annan,” you pass by quaint little houses, with remnants of old walls occasionally coming into view, seemingly telling stories of history—segments of poignant romance and brilliant pasts. As you climb the long, winding stone steps paved with bluestones and run your hands along the stone walls built from those slabs, the somewhat dilapidated ancient wooden buildings and the old wooden door frames seem to transport you back to the days of the former ancient town.
