Tujiaqiao Yuwang Palace is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Tujiaqiao Town Yuwang Palace

Yuwang Palace, originally named Yumiao (the Temple of Yu the Great), also known as Huguang Guild Hall, was first built in the 21st year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1756 AD). It was constructed by migrants from Hunan to foster friendship and protect against discrimination. Alongside the simultaneously built Nanhua Palace (Guangdong Guild Hall) and Qiannan Palace (Guizhou Guild Hall), they were collectively referred to as the "Six Palaces" or "Six Guild Halls."

The palace covers an area of approximately 3,000 square meters, with a built-up area of 1,921.45 square meters. At the front of the palace stands a single archway with three arched gateways, inscribed with couplets bearing the palace’s name, adorned with colorful ceramic tile patterns, and featuring upturned eaves and flying rafters, presenting a majestic appearance. In front of the main gate, there is a pair of grand stone lions, standing majestically on either side, forming an impressive sight.

In 1981, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit by the Chengdu Municipal People's Government.

Protected area: the current land area occupied by Yuwang Palace.

Construction control zone: starting from the outer wall corners, extending 3 meters north to the edge of Jinle Highway, 5.4 meters east and west respectively, and 6 meters south to the slope ridge.

The town is shaped like a soaring eagle and lies within a deeply hilly region, sloping from east to west, covering a total area of 41.6 square kilometers. The town administers 6 administrative villages and 2 communities, with a total population of 31,958 (including 29,054 agricultural residents and 2,904 non-agricultural residents), and a permanent resident population of 6,000 in the town center. The cultivated land area is 24,215 mu (including 66,393 mu of paddy fields and 17,822 mu of dry land), averaging 0.88 mu of farmland per person.
