Stone Pagoda Record Stele

The Stone Pagoda Record Stele is a cultural relic protection unit of Jintang County.

The Stone Pagoda Record Stele, dating back to the Han Dynasty, is located in Sanxue Temple Village, Qixian Subdistrict. The stele features 28 lines of text, with 23 lines forming the main body—each line contains 51 characters in regular script. The top part of the stele, written in seal script, reads “Record of the Qixian Mountain Stone Pagoda.” Though some characters have weathered, they remain legible. In 1981, it was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit by the People’s Government of Jintang County.

Sanxue Temple Village: I. Basic Information

Sanxue Temple Village is situated in the northeastern part of Jintang County. It borders Sanwang Village of Fuxing Town to the east, Tiandeng Village of Sanxing Town to the west, Chuanfuhao Village of Sanxing Town to the south, and Shibanhé Village to the north. The village is named after the nearby Sanxue Mountain and lies just 3 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 7.8 square kilometers, it comprises 12 villager groups. The area boasts beautiful landscapes and is said to be where Li Baibai—one of the Eight Immortals of Shu—practiced Taoism three times.
