The Qixian Scripture Pillar

The Qixian Scripture Pillar is a cultural relic protection unit of Jintang County.

The Scripture Pillar, dating back to the Han Dynasty, is located in Sanxue Temple Village, Qixian Subdistrict. It remains largely intact, though some parts of the pillar body show signs of weathering. In 1988, it was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit by the People's Government of Jintang County.

Sanxue Temple Village: I. General Information

Sanxue Temple Village is situated northeast of Jintang County. To the east, it neighbors Sanwang Village in Fuxing Town; to the west, it connects with Tiandeng Village in Sanxing Town; to the south, it borders Chuanfuhao Village in Sanxing Town; and to the north, it adjoins Shibanhé Village. The village gets its name from the nearby Sanxue Mountain and lies just 3 kilometers from the county seat. Covering a total area of 7.8 square kilometers, it consists of 12 villager groups. The area boasts beautiful landscapes and is said to be where Li Baibai, one of the Eight Immortals of Sichuan, practiced Taoism three times.
