Lingkai Temple

Lingkai Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the county level in Jintang County.

Lingkai Temple, dating back to the Qing Dynasty, is located in Huaxing Village, Huaikou Subdistrict. The temple faces west with its back to the east and features a traditional courtyard layout. It covers a total area of 8,080 square meters and is well-preserved. In 1988, it was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site by the People’s Government of Jintang County.

Huaikou Subdistrict: Huaikou Town is situated southeast of Jintang County in Sichuan Province. To the east it borders Huangjia Township, to the south Baiguo Town, to the west Jiulong Town, and to the north Zhaojia Town. Its elevation ranges from 425 to 915.5 meters. The town government is located at No. 23 Wenhua Street, 25 kilometers from the county seat. In 1999, the town covered an area of 47 square kilometers, with cultivated land spanning 31,861 mu, including 8,583 mu of paddy fields and 23,279 mu of dry land.

　During the Yuan Dynasty, this area was part of Yangcun. In the Ming Dynasty, the Huaikou Town Patrol Inspectorate was established here, named after the ancient Huai’an Army located to the west of the town.
