Sansheng Flower Village Scenic Area

The Sansheng Flower Village Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

“Sansheng Flower Village” is situated in the Sansheng Subdistrict Office of Jinniu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, known as the “Hometown of Flowers and Plants in China.” Covering a total area of 15,000 mu, it involves five villages (Hongsha Village, Xingfu Village, Fuma Village, Wanfu Village, and Jiangjiayan Village), and is a national model for constructing a new socialist countryside. Today, the “Sansheng Flower Village” is an ecotourism and leisure resort on the outskirts of the city, themed around sightseeing, leisure agriculture, and rural tourism. It integrates leisure vacations, sightseeing, dining and entertainment, business conferences, and more. In 2004, it was recognized by the National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site Evaluation Committee as one of the “First Batch of National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Sites”;

In 2005, it was awarded the “China Habitat Environment Example Award” by the Ministry of Construction;

In 2006, it obtained ISO9000 quality certification and ISO14000 environmental management system certification; in April 2006, it was rated as a “National AAAA-level Tourist Area” by the National Tourism Administration; in June 2006, it was awarded the title of one of the first “National Cultural Industry Demonstration Bases” by the Ministry of Culture.

The main attractions of Sansheng Flower Village include: Huaxiang Nongju, Luojia Garden, Niuwang Temple, Wangjia Garden, Lotus Pond Moonlight, and Xingfu Plum Forest.

The Huaxiang Nongju rural residences are located in Hongsha Village, Sansheng Subdistrict Office, Jinniu District. The village has jurisdiction over four communities and 971 households. Hongsha Village has a long history of flower cultivation, with generations of villagers making a living by growing flowers. It has developed a flower planting scale of over 3,000 mu and is one of the earliest regions in Southwest China to develop the flower industry. After more than 10 years of operation, it has become an important base for the national flower industry. Today, it is no longer just a single model of planting and selling flowers, but has evolved into a complex sightseeing and leisure agricultural industry that focuses on sightseeing and flower appreciation, and involves comprehensive and in-depth development in flower research, production, packaging, tourism, and other aspects.

Huaxiang Nongju boasts a beautiful environment, fresh air, birdsong, and fragrant flowers. Everywhere you look, there are passionate reds, dazzling yellows, and elegant purples... as if you are in an ocean of flowers, a world of blossoms. In 2004, Huaxiang Nongju was successively rated as a “National AA-level Tourist Scenic Area” and one of the “First Batch of National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Sites.”

The scenic area includes many attractions such as the Jasmine Garden—known as the homeland of Sichuan jasmine—the Niuwang Temple with its totem worship from agrarian society, a hundred-acre rose-themed garden, and Weisheng Flower Gardening. It features six major flower production and sightseeing zones: the Science and Technology Demonstration Zone, Seedling Planting Zone, Premium Potted Flower Zone, Fresh-Cut Flower Display Zone, Sichuan-Style Bonsai Zone, and Colorful Plant Zone. There are also nearly a hundred leisure and entertainment venues of all kinds, making it a famous leisure and vacation destination in the suburbs of Chengdu.
