Hejiang Pavilion is a pavilion built at the confluence of the Fu and Nan rivers. Constructed 1,200 years ago, it was the departure point for the long voyages to the Eastern Wu kingdom; its foundation rises several feet high, with ten pillars supporting the interconnected twin pavilions. The design is ingenious and rich in meaning. As you ascend the steps, the scenery of the two rivers unfolds before your eyes.

Viewed from across the river at night, Hejiang Pavilion is bathed in bright lights that reflect on the water, with shimmering colors and gentle transitions creating a serene and graceful scene that soothes the soul. White light beams shoot straight up from the pavilion into the night sky, highlighting its upturned eaves and carved windows against the darkness. Red neon lights softly outline the pavilion’s delicate form. Around the pavilion, more than ten ivory magnolia-shaped lamps emit a soft glow, complementing the vibrant lights inside and crafting a dreamlike atmosphere. Next to the pavilion stands a classic-style building, its upturned roof outlined in colorful lights and adorned with red lanterns, giving off an old-world charm. When the wind blows, the reflection of Hejiang Pavilion ripples in the flowing waters of the Fu and Nan rivers—the light shifts, the colors dance, and you find yourself immersed in the classical beauty swaying gently with the lights…

Hejiang Pavilion, located at the confluence of the Fu and Nan rivers in Chengdu, was built 1,200 years ago and once served as the departure point for the long voyages to the Eastern Wu kingdom. The current pavilion was rebuilt in 1989. Nearby is the classic-style corridor Tingtao Fang, which houses an inscription about Hejiang Pavilion written by the modern calligrapher Zhao Yunyu.

A love-themed zebra crossing was specially constructed a few years ago. It is said that walking across this zebra crossing will lead to a smooth married life and a lifetime of togetherness. There is also a small nearby fountain, often frequented by couples taking photos.

At night, the scenery here becomes even more beautiful under the glow of the lights.
