Sichuan Art Museum, situated in the central area of Chengdu — the political, economic, and cultural hub of western China — boasts a highly advantageous location. It is located at No. 20 Renmin West Road, west of Tianfu Square, with Shudu Avenue to the south, Renmin South Road to the east, and adjacent to People’s Park, the Provincial Exhibition Hall, the Municipal Stadium, and the Provincial Cultural Relics Building. This area is a prime spot that combines culture, commerce, and leisure entertainment. Six uniquely styled sculptures are displayed on the green lawns surrounding the museum, making it a cultural landmark not only for Chengdu but also for Sichuan as a whole. Covering an area of 6 mu, the museum has a built-up area of 6,000 square meters. The entire exterior facade consists of black-gray marble and curved glass curtain walls, embodying a concept that fuses tradition with modernity. Sichuan Art Museum was established in May 1992.
