Banzhuang Tourism New Village Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Banzhuang Tourism New Village is located in Datian Town, Renhe District, and is one of the key tourism new villages developed by Renhe District. In July 2012, the construction of the new village of Banzhuang officially commenced. Earlier this year, the first phase of the new village, consisting of 77 residential units, was completed.

Banzhuang Village has four villager groups and 388 farming households. Currently, the village cultivates green-skin soft-seed pomegranates across an area of 1,870 mu, yielding 1.5 million kilograms of pomegranates annually. Banzhuang is developing a modern tourism new village centered around the pomegranate industry, integrating fruit and vegetable picking, eco-leisure, sunshine wellness, and sightseeing tourism.

The Banzhuang Tourism New Village settlement area also features a visitor reception center and the Xiangshui Renjia Hotel. The surrounding area is dotted with farm stays, as well as barbecue and Chinese cuisine with strong local characteristics. “Through the cultivation of the rural tourism industry, the primary sector will drive production, and the tertiary sector will boost the primary sector. Once the project area is completed, the per capita annual net income of farmers in the project area will exceed the district average by more than 15%.”

Datian Town: The southern end of Datian Town, Renhe District, Panzhihua City, borders Yongren County, Yunnan Province. It is 35 kilometers from the downtown area of Panzhihua City, covering a total area of 106 square kilometers. Sichuan-Yunnan National Highway 108 runs through the entire town, providing convenient transportation and complete communication facilities. The elevation ranges between 1,500 and 1,700 meters, with abundant sunlight and rainfall. The average annual temperature is 18.4 degrees Celsius. The area boasts subtropical agricultural ecological and biological resources, offering a favorable environment for the growth of flora and fauna, and is particularly suitable for pomegranate cultivation.
