Qinxijiangyuan National Wetland Park

Qinxijiangyuan National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Shanxi Qinxijiangyuan National Wetland Park is located in the Taiyue Mountain State-owned Forest Farm in Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, covering a total area of 248.3 hectares.

The main source of the Qin River is situated in a narrow valley behind Hedi Village, Wangtao Township, Qinyuan County. The cliffs on either side of the valley are about 7 meters apart, and on the rocky cliff there is an abundant mountain spring outlet as thick as a teacup, gushing out with crystal-clear water that remains steady all year round and flows ceaselessly. After emerging from the rocky cliff, the spring flows down through the rugged ten-mile valley. Later, it gradually converges with water from five other sources originating from Huofeng Village in Guantan Township, Nanwan in Jingfeng Township, Maquan Village in Baihuyao Township, Jianyadi Village in Chishi Bridge Township, and Shuiyu Village in Congziyu Township. After gathering waters from various streams, it exits Qinyuan County via the Xiaonanchuan and, after flowing thousands of miles, eventually joins the Yellow River. Qinyuan County is named after this river as it is the birthplace of the Qin River.
