In 1940, the headquarters of the 25th and 38th Regiments of the 3rd Column of the Death-Defying Army were stationed in a six-courtyard compound built by a Qing Dynasty martial arts scholar surnamed Qin in Xiayingju. Under the leadership of the Taiyue Military District, they commanded troops in fighting against Japanese invaders and participated in the famous “Siege of Qinyuan.” The site faces east and features a traditional six-courtyard layout, originally established by a Qing Dynasty martial arts scholar surnamed Qin. The existing structures date back to the Qing Dynasty.
