The Former Site of the Taiyue Administrative Office in Zhaozhai is a Shanxi Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.

The former residences of the Taiyue Military District Administrative Office and its department heads consist of a group of cave dwellings. Currently preserved are eight cave dwellings that were the homes of leaders such as Niu Peicong and Pei Lisheng from the Taiyue Military District Administrative Office, three auxiliary rooms, one main gate, seven cave dwellings that were the residences of various department heads, six cave dwellings that were the residences of the guard company, and four other cave dwelling sites belonging to various institutions, totaling 25 cave dwellings.
