Feixian Pass Scenic Area

The Feixian Pass Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national key cultural relics protection unit.

The Feixian Pass Scenic Area is located in the northeastern part of Ya'an City, approximately 11 kilometers east of downtown Ya'an, 17 kilometers north of Lushan County, and 21 kilometers west of Tianquan County. It is the first pass along the G318 Sichuan-Tibet Highway and a key stop on the Western Sichuan Tourism Loop. Historically, it has been an important node on the "Sichuan-Tibet Cultural Corridor," the "Ancient Tea Horse Road," and the "Southern Silk Road," and is hailed as the land-based "first strategic gateway" on the Sichuan-Tibet route. Following the devastating "4·20" Lushan earthquake, the Feixian Pass Scenic Area initiated a post-disaster reconstruction plan. Guided by the concept of "integrating culture and tourism, unifying towns and villages, and blending industry and urban development," the plan emphasizes an overall enhancement strategy for the scenic area. Based on the construction of the northern and southern town areas, and in combination with developments such as the Ancient Tea Horse Official Road, Erlang Ancient Temple, and Nantian New Town, it has been developed into a national eco-cultural tourism integration demonstration zone that encompasses ecological sightseeing, rural recreation, ancient town leisure, cultural experiences, wellness retreats, and more — making it a premium tourism destination along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway.
