Former Residence of Shi Lu

The former residence of Shi Lu is a cultural heritage site protected at the county level in Renshou County.

The former residence of Shi Lu is situated in Minglang Village, Dahu Town, Renshou County. It was built in 1919 and is classified as an important modern historical site and representative building.

On January 23, 2017, the former residence of Shi Lu was listed as part of the sixth batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Renshou County.

Minglang Village: Introduction to Minglang Village

Minglang Village is located in the northern part of Dahu Town and is the birthplace of renowned painters Shi Lu and Feng Jianwu. It was formed from the merger of the former Jinxing Village and Minglang Village. It borders Xianghuang Village of Gufu Township to the east, Zhengyi Village to the south, Caohe Village to the west, and Liming Village to the north. The village enjoys convenient transportation, with National Highway 213 running through it longitudinally and the Sanchaorong Expressway crossing it horizontally.

The village covers an area of 5 square kilometers. It administers 8 villager groups, has 2,415 mu of arable land, a total population of 2,817, and 1,021 permanent households. The main crops grown are grain and loquats. More details about the village can be found here++
