In addition to the nighttime firefly viewing at Yuantan Nature Ecological Park, the Ruili region's Firefly Season kicked off on March 30, while the Guanghua Firefly Season also began in April. Local artists have even designed three whimsical firefly-themed illustrations for children. Visitors to Alishan during the firefly season should not miss these seasonal highlights. The Firefly Tea Tasting Sessions held during the season have also received high praise. Young tea masters from Ruili Elementary School and fourteen elegant tea stations offer tastings amidst candlelight and flickering fireflies, creating an enchanting scene as the glow surrounds the Alishan tea tables.

The “Blue Tribe” community development association of Lijia has organized the “Blue Tribe – Bear Bear Firefly Season – Stars and Fireflies” event from April 9 (Saturday) through the end of May. A two-day, one-night firefly tour package was launched on April 9 (Saturday) and 10 (Sunday) to kick off this one-and-a-half-month-long event. In addition to ecological firefly viewing, the program includes rich experiences such as indigenous culture, stargazing, and DIY activities. On the afternoon of the 9th, there will be fun ball games, along with performances by students from Lijia Elementary School and local community members. Dinner will feature indigenous cuisine made with local ingredients, followed by the “Two Stars” experience — not only admiring the fireflies flying in the sky, but also gazing upward at the stars above, taking in the beauty of Lijia, known as the “Blue Tribe” for its lack of light pollution.
