Creative Experience Activities on the Alishan Trails Await You

The Alishan National Scenic Area Administration launched the “Trails & Trails” event in 2007, initially promoting eight trails through storytelling to attract visitors. In 2008, the event featured virtual characters as its theme to invite visitors. Despite the damage to some trails caused by Typhoon Morakot in 2009, the Administration still centered the series of “Love. Trails. Alishan” activities around the theme of 'care'.

From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on November 21st at the Xidi Er Yianping Trail, the “Tea Fun at Xidi” event will be held. On the day of the event, four tea tasting stations will be set up along the trail. Each station will have little tea experts and local tea masters explaining the characteristics of four conceptual teas representing spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and inviting the public to taste them. Those who complete the entire trail can exchange for special tea snacks. There will also be a local agricultural products market, allowing visitors to enjoy food, drinks, and fun all in one go.

From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on December 5th at Fenchihu Old Street and the Cedar Forest Trail is the second event in the series “Steaming Up Fenchihu”. Fenchihu is most famous for its “Old Street”. To integrate the trail event with local characteristics and boost economic opportunities, on the day of the event, aside from arranging performances and scheduled trail guided tours, the Administration will also allow visitors with completed stamp cards to experience DIY sessions of various well-known local delicacies such as train cakes, washed jelly figs, tofu burgers, grass cakes, donuts, and more, and receive discount coupons for shopping on the old street.

From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on December 12th at the Renshou Yuantan Trail, the event “Fun Times at Yuantan” takes coffee as its theme. Local Alishan coffee farmers and businesses will set up booths to explain the differences between Alishan coffee and lowland or imported foreign coffee beans, and offer free tastings to visitors. Visitors can also exchange for small coffee desserts and enjoy the rare romantic pleasure of drinking coffee on the lawn. Additionally, for each creative trail activity, the Administration has carefully prepared 250 souvenirs to give to participants, as well as on-site lucky draws for great prizes like cameras.
