June in Anning is as poetic as it is radiant, as picturesque as it is vibrant. In this dreamlike and splendid season, the 2018 China Climbing League (Lanzhou Anning) "Gansu Construction Investment First Construction Cup" will be held from June 15–17 in Anning District, Lanzhou. The event is jointly organized by the Chinese Mountaineering Association, the Gansu Provincial Sports Bureau, the Lanzhou Municipal People's Government, and hosted by the Gansu Provincial Mountaineering Association, the Lanzhou Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, the Lanzhou Municipal Sports Bureau, and the Lanzhou Municipal Anning District People's Government. It is co-organized by the Lanzhou Municipal Anning District Culture and Sports Bureau and the Lanzhou Anning Urban Development Group Co., Ltd., and operated by Shizhi Sports.
On June 6, the Anning District Party Committee and District Government held a press conference for the 2018 China Climbing League (Lanzhou Anning) "Gansu Construction Investment First Construction Cup." The event was presided over by Comrade Man Wanjing, Deputy District Chief of the Lanzhou Municipal Anning District People's Government. At the conference, Wang Yajun, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Lanzhou Anning District Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department, delivered a speech regarding the event. He stated that Anning will vigorously develop climbing sports, build a climbing tourism destination, showcase a new image of Anning, inject strong new momentum into the development of cultural, sports, and tourism industries in the district, further promote the deep integration of culture, sports, and tourism, and drive the development of these industries across the city.

The 2018 season of the China Climbing League has officially begun. As the first stop of the league, Lanzhou Anning will host three days of competition at Renshou Mountain. Themed "Climb·Endless," the event features men’s all-around, men’s speed climbing, women’s all-around, and women’s speed climbing. The athletes’ exceptional skills will deliver a spectacular visual feast for the public.
In addition to the professional competitions, a variety of carnival activities will be held during the event, engaging audiences through continuous, experiential, and high-intensity interactive formats. Among them, the "Rise Up, Youth!" event, targeting university students, will bring together tens of thousands of students in Lanzhou with dreamy settings, cool stages, explosive performances, and high-energy music, creating a joyful gathering spot for young people. The Himalaya International Mountain Film Festival will make its appearance at the carnival, showcasing a diverse range of outdoor film and video resources to attendees. The summer beer festival and food fair will be highlights of the event, where visitors and locals can exchange their event tickets for coupons at the carnival area near Renshou Mountain to enjoy a feast of beer and delicacies. Little ones can join parent-child carnivals and fun interactive activities. Audiences can look forward to a dynamic and passionate comprehensive outdoor sports extravaganza.
Located on the north bank of the Yellow River in Lanzhou, Anning District is graced by the ancient river that flows through it. Its prime location has made Anning a shining pearl along the ancient Silk Road, often referred to as the "Gateway to Northwest Jin City" and the "Throat of the Five Regions of Hexi." With flowers blooming three seasons of the year and greenery lasting all four, it enjoys the reputation of the "Ten-Li Peach Blossom Village." With its blue skies and fresh air, it is an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle. In 2017, Anning District was honored with the title of "China's Most Beautiful Health and Leisure Tourism District." The China Lanzhou Peach Blossom Tourism Festival, held here, was awarded the "China Characteristic Cultural Tourism Festival Award" by the China Tourism Association. The area's unique natural and cultural landscapes are truly captivating.
Anning’s unique geographical advantages, beautiful ecological environment, vibrant cultural atmosphere, and favorable development conditions have shaped the district. To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Lanzhou Anning District has extensively promoted national fitness activities, hosted national-level sporting events, accelerated the development of sports initiatives, and actively responded to national policies.
