The Firefly Tea Appreciation gatherings held during the season have also been highly praised. The young tea masters from RuiLi Elementary School, along with fourteen elegantly set tea stations, served tea amidst candlelight and flickering fireflies. With the tiny lights dancing around the tea stations in Alishan, the scene was truly breathtaking.

The Community Development Association of “Blue Tribe” Lijia has organized the “Blue Tribe – Huggable Firefly Season – Stars & Fireflies” event from April 9 (Saturday) through the end of May. On April 9 (Saturday) and 10 (Sunday), a two-day, one-night firefly viewing package tour was launched to kick off this one-and-a-half-month-long event. In addition to ecological firefly viewing, the program also incorporates rich experiences such as indigenous culture, stargazing, and DIY activities. On the afternoon of the 9th, there will be fun ball games, and performances by children from Lijia Elementary School and community residents. Dinner will feature indigenous cuisine made with local ingredients, followed by the “Two-Star” journey — not only admiring the flying stars (fireflies) above but also gazing upwards at the stars in the night sky, taking in the beauty of Lijia, known as the Blue Tribe for its lack of light pollution.
