Luzhou Olympic Sports Park

Luzhou Olympic Sports Park, covering a land area of 209,884 square meters, has a total investment of nearly 500 million yuan. It consists of a main stadium (20,000 seats), a comprehensive training hall, an aquatics center, an athletes’ apartment complex, and auxiliary facilities. The official groundbreaking took place on January 8, 2012, and it was put into use on January 1, 2015. The park is located at the intersection of Longma Avenue and Shu-Lu Avenue in the Chengbei New District (Longmatan District) of Luzhou City, adjacent to the Chengbei Bus Terminal, China (Luzhou) Southwest Trade City, Luzhou Grand Theater and Conference Center, the Chengxi Urban Complex, the Education, Science, Technology, and Culture City located at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Chongqing, as well as the Southwest Medical and Health City. This area is set to become a future hub for humanities, arts, education, research, finance, sports, leisure, and transportation in Luzhou. Luzhou Olympic Sports Park has become a multifunctional comprehensive sports facility that integrates mass fitness, competitive sports, leisure and entertainment, large-scale gatherings, and cultural exchanges. It not only effectively alleviates the contradiction between the city residents’ fitness needs and the shortage of sports venues, but also has the capacity to host national-level sporting events. Currently, the Olympic Sports Park stands as a landmark project in Luzhou’s public sports infrastructure development.
